Dear Diary,

Normally Memorial Day is one of favorite holidays (Halloween is my absolute favorite though). However, this Memorial Day didn't exactly go the way I planned.

Let me walk you through it.

I got up early Sunday morning because I had to work at 9a. Then at midnight my third shift calls in and I couldn't find anyone so I had to work Sunday night until this morning. My boss had already scheduled me an interview for 11a Monday morning so I was afraid to lay down when I finished up the shift at 9a because I was worried I wouldn't get back up for the interview. So I stayed up to meet with the lady that was coming by.

I also have a new woman on second shift that volunteered to work this morning for overtime since the boys were home from school. When the interview chick got here, she (the woman from second shift) decided to go fire up the grill to fix something special for the guys for dinner. So she gets out the grill, charcoal, and matches. She gets some lighter fluid from her car and tosses that on the charcoal, then pitches in a lit match. Well it might of worked better if she hadn't placed the grill directly below the sprinkler system sensor.

All of a sudden, there was a loud pop and then gallons and gallons and gallons of water came down from the sprinkler system! Don't forget that earsplitting bell that was ringing to high heaven. It also triggered our interior alarm system so lights were flashing, doors were locked shut, power went off, and that blaring alarm sound. But the funniest part was my staff running from the grill because she just had her hair 'did'!! (She's absolutely ghetto-licious) LOL

You can imagine how my emotionally-sensitive-violently-explosive clients responded. The best part was I got to see how the woman interviewing did under pressure and "excitement" and she did great! So hopefully my boss will hire her.

It took an hour to get everything turned off and back to 'normal'. Luckily I was able to reach the firehouse before they dispensed a truck.

Although this is not the Memorial Day I had planned, it very well may be my most memorial.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day! Don't forget to say 'Thank You!' to the soldiers and military personal in your life. Without your sacrifice, we wouldn't be where we are today.
